PURPOSE: An engine room fire prevention apparatus for heavy equipment is provided, which detects vapor before the fire break out and drops the temperature by spraying water of high pressure to the engine. CONSTITUTION: An engine room fire prevention apparatus for heavy equipment comprises: an engine forming an engine driving force by burning the fuel provided from the fuel tank; an exhaust manifold and muffler discharging the exhaust gas burnt in the engine; a fuel shut-off valve(15) installed at one side of the fuel supply line; a vapor temperature detection sensor sensing the vapor within the engine room; a nozzle(16) spraying water; a water pump(18) transferring water to the nozzle; and a controller controlling the drive of the water pump and fuel shut-off valve.
