PURPOSE: A DC-charge-type portable grinding apparatus for optical fiber is provided to be used where there is no power supply, using a chargeable battery. CONSTITUTION: A DC(Direct Current)-charge-type portable grinding apparatus for optical fiber comprises a main body(10), a motor(20), a grinding plate(30), a protective cap(40), a height adjusting ring(41), a polishing jig(50), a timer(60), a speed control switch(70) and a battery case(80). The motor is installed at the inside of the main body. The grinding plate is rotatably connected to one end of the main body and rotates by the motor. The protective cap surrounds the outside of the grinding plate without contact. The adjusting ring is detachably connected to the protective cap and adjusts the height of the grinding plate. A workpiece(2) is fixed to the polishing jig. The timer controls the rotation time of the grinding plate. The switch controls the rotation speed of the grinding plate. The battery(82) is inserted into the battery case. |
