ENHANCER FOR INDIGO DYEING AND ENHANCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out dyeing in a hue comparable to the deep hue of a dyed cloth dyed with a natural indigo in synthetic indigo dyeing. SOLUTION: The enhancer of the indigo dyeing contains melanoidin as an active ingredient. The enhancing method includes carrying out the dyeing in the presence of the melanoidin in the synthetic indigo dyeing method for dyeing fibers by reducing the synthetic indigo in the presence of an alkali and a reducing agent to leuco indigo, soaking the fibers in an obtained aqueous solution to impregnate the fiber with the leuco indigo, and oxidizing the leuco indigo impregnating the fiber to dye the fiber.
