PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an imitated sample in which a film is stuck to a surface of a molding, wherein wrinkles are prevented from still existing on the stuck film, and peeling strength between the film and the molding is enhanced to prevent the film from peeling. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the imitated sample includes: a first step of casting curable molding material having fluidity in a mold corresponding to the external shape of a real object and having minute mold-side projecting and recessed shape on its surface; a second step of forming the molding 2 having minute molding-side projecting and recessed shape 21 corresponding to the mold-side projecting and recessed shape by curing the cast molding material; a third step of covering the surface of the molding with the film 3 on which a pattern or the like is displayed by heating the molding after removing the molding from the mold; a fourth step of making the film enter the recessed part 2b of the molding-side projecting and recessed shape by rubbing on the surface of the film in such a state that the molding is heated; and a fifth step of meshing the film with the recessed part of the molding-side projecting and recessed shape.
