PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intervertebral spacer capable of sufficiently absorbing loads and impact applied to the intervertebral region, having mechanical strength strong enough to suppress damage or chipping. SOLUTION: The intervertebral spacer is made of metal to be inserted into and disposed in the intervertebral region. A single or a plurality of spaces are formed within the wall thickness in the direction of thickness, and the elasticity is applied by the spaces to loads on the intervertebral region. Preferably, the space is at least either a hollow part formed from one surface to the other surface to be opened on both surfaces, or a recessed slit formed on either surface.
