<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in forming a groove in an electrode plate, when grooves of identical depth are formed in a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, the positive electrode plate is harder than the negative electrode plate and requires a larger force, thereby adverse effects are produced, such as increase in the thickness of the electrode plate, elongation of the electrode plate, and deterioration in the separation strength. <P>SOLUTION: By forming grooves with different depth for a positive electrode plate 3 and a negative electrode plate 5, and by making the grooves 7 formed on the electrode plate with a higher hardness shallower, and making the force required for forming the grooves smaller, the adverse effects on the electrode plate, such as, increase in thickness of the electrode plate by forming the grooves 7, elongation of the electrode plate, and deterioration in the separation strength are reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
