PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side vehicle body structure capable of securing supporting rigidity of a separate member from a front pillar and a front fender when arranging the separate member at a portion between the front pillar and a vehicle outside rear end of a hood. SOLUTION: This side vehicle body structure 2 is provided with the hood 4, the front pillar 20 arranged in a rear part of the vehicle outside rear end of the hood 4, and the front fender 6 arranged at the vehicle outside of the hood 4. The side vehicle body structure 2 is provided with a front sub pillar 30 separate from the front pillar 20 and the front fender 6 at the portion held between the front pillar 20 and the vehicle outside rear end of the hood 4.
