摘要 Glasses removal using a dynamic mask and inpainting for improving the performance of a face recognition system is provided to increase the accuracy and efficiency of face recognition by removing glasses with a dynamic mask and inpainting. A face of an image is detected, and a face image is normalized adjusted to the pixel size of 256x256. The rotation angle of a face is calculated by using the outline information of the face image, and pose normalization is performed. The position of pupils is obtained from the normalized face image, and more accurate pose/size normalization is performed based on the coordinates of the pupils. The reflection part of the image is obtained, and an absolute value image is obtained from the image. The absolute image is binarized, and a dynamic mask that is differentiated depending on the face pose is created by considering the glasses candidate area. A glasses area is obtained by using the OR operation of both the dynamic mask and the binarized image, and the glasses are removed from the image by inpainting the glasses area from the image.
