METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molded product in which a photopolymerizable composition layer does not collide against a photomask. SOLUTION: The method for producing the molded product includes: a step in which a photopolymerizable composition 1 containing a polyfunctional monomer or the like having bi- or higher-functionality and a photopolymerization initiator is applied on a smooth substrate 2 by means of a spin coater; a step in which a light shielding plate 6 having a light-nontransmissive part at only a peripheral part of the surface is set above the surface applied with the composition; a step of irradiating the composition spread on the surface except the peripheral part with light so that the amount of residual double bond groups is adjusted to 40-70%; a step of reducing the thickness of the composition spread on the peripheral part to not over the thickness of the composition spread on the surface except the peripheral part by spinning the substrate; and a step of polymerizing and curing the composition by irradiation with parallel light to obtain the molded product comprising a matrix and a large number of columnar structures oriented in one direction and arrayed two-dimensionally in a plane perpendicular to the thickness of the matrix.
