The charge condition monitor and control, for a battery charger, has a measuring-time generator which is used to produce a first control pulse, which is passed to a comparator, and there is a second control pulse, which is passed to an analog store. The store holds the value of the battery terminal voltage when the latter is measured and passes it to the comparator on receipt of the second control pulse. The comparator compares the stored voltage with the actual voltage across the battery terminals and its output is used to regulate the charging process. The two control pulses are sequential not coincident. |
