PURPOSE: An antenna controlling method and apparatus in a wireless communication system are provided to transmit and receive a signal by forming directional beam in a transceiver. CONSTITUTION: The transceiver of a wireless communication system decides a suitable antenna operation mode among a single mode, a composite mode, or a multiplex mode(401). According to a determined antenna operating mode, the transceiver selects one or more antennas(403). According to the determined antenna operation mode, the transceiver is combined with the one or more antennas(405). The transceiver operates the selected and combined one or more antennas(407). |
