<p>An injection moulding machine for plastics, esp. thermosetting plastics, comprising a plasticising barrel with an axially movable screw, a barrel head and a closure unit comprising two clamping plates to contain a mould, is arranged so that the barrel head is fixed to one of the clamping plates, the barrel itself axially displaceable relative to the barrel head and capable of being pressed against it to form a seal. Pref., the barrel is slightly moved back from the barrel head, to permit degassing during the plasticising operation, and is then advanced and sealed to the barrel head for the ejection operation.</p> |
