The method involves providing a database with segments (111-114, 116) of a road network, where different segment driving times are assigned to the selected segments. A route course between a starting point (101) and a destination (103) is determined from the segments of the database under consideration of the driving times. The segment driving times with different plausibility values are provided for the selected segments. The plausibility values are received over a user interface, and total driving time for the route course is determined from the provided segment driving times.
