<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device and lighting device, capable of lighting one of both sides. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device 5 includes a light emitting element 11, a light collecting part 14 of partially cylindrical members 21, 22 with a radius R arranged on the illumination side of the light emitting element 11, and a reflecting protrusion 15 extended along the center line of the light collecting part 14 and provided on the left side of the collecting part 14 to reflect light L traveling on the left side to the right side.
