PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the preservation stability of a hexammonium heptamolybdate solution used for measuring the concentration of silica by a molybdenum yellow absorptiometric method. SOLUTION: The ammonium molybdate solution for measuring the concentration of silica includes an aqueous solution containing hexammonium heptamolybdate and a pH adjustor and the pH thereof is adjusted to an alkaline region, preferably 8-10 by the pH adjustor.
