<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of saving an electrical power without decreasing working efficiencies of users. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 20 (CPU 21) of a printer 10 detects a transition of the activated number of PCs 80 on the basis of the number of ARP packets from the activated PCs 80 received by a network I/F 27 for a prescribed period. A control part 20 determines a normal mode switching time and an energy saving mode switching time on the basis of the transition of the activated number of the detected PCs 80. The control part 20 switches over to the normal mode at the determined normal mode switching time, and switches over to the energy saving mode at the determined energy saving mode switching time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
