PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve various characteristics required for members constituting a housing of a position sensor sensing a shift position of a transmission in a four wheeled vehicle. SOLUTION: Liquid crystal polyester is employed as a material of a case 2 and a cover 7 constituting the housing of the position sensor 1. This can reduce a burr at the time of molding the case 2 and the cover 7 and can prevent the corrosion and abrasion of a molding die. It is also possible to prevent size deviation and the lowering of mechanical strength caused by the moisture absorption of the case 2 and the cover 7.
