APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING OPTICAL SIGNAL IN PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK

PURPOSE: An optical transmission equipment in a PON is provided to amplify an optical signal in parallel. CONSTITUTION: An optical transmitting apparatus in a PON(Passive Optical Network) includes optical amplification units(320-1~320-N) and an amplification controller(300). The optical amplification unit amplifies an output light signal. The amplification controller controls the amplification gain of the optical amplification unit based on optical output strength information obtained from a monitoring diode. The measurement of the intensity of an optical signal and the adjustment of output beam power operate through the monitoring diode of DL(DownLink) optical transmitters(210-1~210-N).
