The invention relates to polarimetric means for measurement of angle of rotation of plane of polarization of light beam in optically active turbid media, for instance for determination of sugar in blood. The method and device for measurement of angle of rotation of plane of polarization of light in turbid active media are in fact that medium under investigation is placed at pass of monochromatic light beam between polarizer and divider of light beam into two, after having passed this light beams fall to analyzers directed at angles ±α with respect to plane of highest pass of polarizer. Beforehand one measures level of polarization of light beam with medium under investigation and by data measured one calculates optimal angle α, with installation of analyzers by given angle ±α, one obtains on indicator signal with maximal ratio of signal to noise, after that one rotates polarizer till signal disappears, by vernier by azimuth scale one exactly determines angle of rotation of plane of polarization of light beam with substance. In the device semi-transparent plate is installed for separation of light beam that has passed through the sample into two, after that one there is coaxially installed a reflecting mirror. Polarizer is arranged with possibility of determination of angle of rotation of plane of polarization of light by high-precision azimuth scale. The invention provides increase of accuracy of measurements. |
