METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF AMLODIPIN IN TREATMENT OF ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE WITH ANGINA PECTORIS AND ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION WITH HYPERTROPHIC TYPE OF IMPAIRMENT OF DIASTOLIC FUNCTION OF LEFT VENTRICLE

A method for assessing the efficacy of Amlodipin in the treatment of the ischemic heart disease with angina pectoris and arterial hypertension with hypertrophic type of the impairment of diastolic function of the left ventricle provides for the comparison of the state of the patients prior to and after the treatment. Prior to the treatment, Doppler echocardiography at rest is performed, and transmitral blood flow is assessed by measuring the rate of the early diastolic filling. The similar examination is performed after the course of the treatment. When the rate of the early diastolic filling increases by at least 15 % as compared with that prior to the treatment, the hemodynamic and antianginal effects of the treatment are regarded as positive.
