FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: cylinder head cast blank has sealing surface 2 designed to be fitted on appropriate sealing surface on cylinder block. Said sealing surface 2 comprises combustion chamber zone 3 and features, as-cast, machining tolerance (Dz2) compared with rated thickness (Dn) after milling. Tolerance (Dz3) for machining a section of sealing surface 2 in combustion chamber zone 3 makes not over 15% of tolerance (Dz2) for machining sealing surface in remaining zone. Cylinder head in combustion chamber zone features the structure corresponding to casting structure in sealing surface zone prior to its milling. ^ EFFECT: optimised tolerable load on cylinder head. ^ 12 cl, 3 dwg |
