<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that moves a separating member in a circumferential direction while maintaining a constant relative positional relation between a separating member and rotors in a radial direction, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes the pair of rotors 20 and 30 disposed opposite to each other and fixes an image on a recording medium by passing a recording medium through a nip portion N formed between the pair of rotors 20 and 30. The separating member 43 for separating a recording medium passed through the nip portion N from the one rotor 20 is provided so as to be rotatable around the rotation shaft 200 of the rotor 20.
