The actuator has piezo units that are clamped between an actuator head and an actuator base (23), and an isolation cover i.e. plastic cover (20), that surrounds the piezo units. The plastic cover is surrounded in a cylindrical clamping ring (21) having clamping noses (22) at the head and/or at the base. The ring is pre-centered or pre-oriented and is welded, soldered or stuck together at the head and/or the base. The cover (20) is formed to be shrinkable under temperature influence, where the ring has a soft coating on a side facing the head and/or the base.
