PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an autonomous imaging apparatus capable of taking surrounding image by inexpensive and simple structure using no gimbal mechanism. SOLUTION: The autonomous imaging apparatus includes: a spherical frame 1 constituted of a hollow spherical outer shell; a camera 2 fixed inside the spherical frame 1; a plurality of liquid amount-adjusting mechanisms 5 to 12 arranged dispersively inside the spherical frame 1 and changing a position of center of gravity by adjustment of a liquid amount; a posture angle sensor 14 detecting posture; and a control circuit 15 changing the posture of the spherical frame 1 based on output information of the posture angle sensor 14.
