<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine, including a rotational speed detector wherein electrolytic erosion in a bearing of the rotational speed detector due to the shaft voltage of a rotor shaft can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine 1 includes the rotational speed detector (for example, encoder) 3 for detecting the rotational speed of a rotor shaft 2. In this rotary electric machine 1, the rotor shaft 2 and the rotational speed detector 3 are coupled with each other via a shaft coupling 4 formed of an insulating material. As a result, when a shaft voltage is produced in the rotor shaft 2 while the rotary electric machine 1 is in operation, the shaft voltage is blocked off by the shaft coupling 4 in front of the rotational speed detector 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
