<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for driving an Otto type engine. <P>SOLUTION: The Otto type engine includes a cylinder (10) for burning a mixture of fuel and air; a turbo charger (16) for compressing air to be supplied to the cylinder; and a fuel control valve (15) for mixing fuel to compressed air. A control signal (23) is determined, relative to the valve (15), by a first close or open loop control device (21), and an engine is driven at a target rotating speed and/or output through a fuel quantity to be mixed to compressed air according to the signal. The first close or open loop control device prepares a control signal for a fuel control valve of a second close or open loop control device (22), and the second close or open loop control device generates a control signal (24) for the turbo charger in response to this control signal. A fuel-air mixture is provided to the cylinder in response thereto, whereby the engine is driven at a predetermined air-fuel ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
