<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device for a vehicle, which prevents the rotating shaft center of a rotating element in a transmission from being engaged in an eccentric state and reduces the period of time until the completion of engagement. <P>SOLUTION: The drive device for a vehicle is configured as follows. When a state-shift command from a non-transmitting state to a transmitting state of a transmission TM is input while a drive force source 13 is not generating a drive force, the following operation is executed in order to perform gear-shift input rotation operation. Before it is shifted to the transmitting state by engagement of a friction engagement element C1, a drive input member I is rotated by allowing the drive force source 13 to generate a drive force and a gear-shift input member M is rotated via a fluid coupling 14 while maintaining the non-transmitting state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
