PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain color shift correction at surrounding parts of black characters in the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction to be generated resulting from chromatic aberration and mechanical vibration or the like by simple processing.SOLUTION: According to this image processing apparatus 30, a color shift correction unit 34 configures a virtual pixels between a noticing pixel and an adjacent pixel adjacent to the noticing pixel, calculates a gradation value of the virtual pixel based on a gradation value of the noticing pixel and a gradation value of the adjacent pixel in an image in colors (R, B) for correction, and when the gradation value of a reference color (G) of the noticing pixel is equal to or more than the minimum value and equal to or less than the maximum value of the gradation value of a virtual pixel group consisting of the noticing pixel and the virtual pixel of the color for correction, converts the gradation value of the noticing pixel of the color for correction into the gradation value of the reference color. |
