PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly generate streaks and density inconsistency on a recorded image.SOLUTION: An evaluation-value calculating section defines a plurality of pixel pairs each composed of two pixels adjacent to each other in a main scanning direction, and calculates, for the pixel pair where large droplets of a pre-coat liquid are ejected from ejection ports 108a, of the defined pixel pairs, an area in which pre-coat dots 51a, 51b overlap with each other as an evaluation value. When the evaluation value calculated by the evaluation-value calculating section is equal to or more than a predetermined value, a pre-coat density-value correcting section reduces a pre-coat liquid density value for the corresponding pixel for the pixel pair, related to the calculated evaluation value such that the calculated evaluation value becomes smaller than the predetermined value so as to reduce the amount of the previously ejected pre-coat liquid. |
