<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a more accurate temperature estimated value to be calculated by considering a contact width of a friction material in temperature estimate calculation of the friction material of a lock-up clutch (LC). <P>SOLUTION: When a surface temperature of a friction material 18 is computed by performing a heat balance calculation using heat capacity HC of portion M with which the friction material 18 come into contact, a temperature difference between the surface temperature of the friction material 18 and a hydraulic fluid temperature of LC, and a cooling rate by the hydraulic fluid and by computing rise rate of a temperature difference between the surface temperature of the friction material 18 per unit time and the hydraulic fluid temperature, the portion M which the friction material 18 contacts is divided into two or more sections Ln beforehand to compute a section heat capacity HCk corresponding to the section Lk concerned. Then, of a plurality of sections Lk, the section Lk belonging to a region W which generates heat with the contact of the friction material 18 is determined based on data concerning fastening degree of LC. Then, a heat balance is calculated for each corresponding section Lk and the surface temperature Tk is calculated using the section heat capacity HCk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
