<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device that has high reliability and is low-cost without using an expensive sensor or solenoid valve. <P>SOLUTION: The base isolation device 120 includes: an air spring 150 which is clamped between a floor slab 110 and a floor structure 130 of a building; an auxiliary tank 152 which is connected to the air spring 150 through an airflow passage 170; and a relief valve 154 which is located on the airflow passage 170 and communicates the air spring 150 to the auxiliary tank 152 by opening the valve when a difference in atmospheric pressure between the air spring 150 and the auxiliary tank 152 is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
