PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve automatic transition of focus item for datacasting.

SOLUTION: An item area part 34 highlights a focus item and also normally displays items other than the focus item in an item area of a display unit based on data for datacasting. A corresponding area part 35 displays information corresponding to the focus item in the item area in a corresponding area of the display part based on the data for datacasting. A mode selection part 31 selects either of an automatic transition mode for achieving automatic transition of the focus item and a normal mode for deciding the focus item in accordance with user operation. When the automatic transition mode is selected, an automatic transition part 32 sequentially designates each of multiple items displayed in the item area as the focus item. For example, the present invention can be applied to a TV receiver.
