<p>The mixed multicoloured wax is formed into a rectangular block which is then pressed to a shape which yields a number of straight sided blanks when cut axially, each blank being in the form of a double Vee block in cross section. The wick is laid in the upper Vee and the blank passed between a pair of rollers with circular arc grooves to close up the Vees and form a cylindrical candle. This candle is then spun between three parallel, cylindrical or tapered rollers, which smooth the surface and produce the spiral fluting.</p> |
