PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an effective feature amount to be easily extracted.

SOLUTION: A face area 111 is set by detecting a face from an input image 101. A target area 112 is set based on the face area 111. Hand areas 121 and 122 are set by detecting hands from the input image 101. Based on the face area 111 and the hand areas 121 and 122, control areas 131 to 134 are set. To estimate a posture of a user, a feature amount of an area in the target area 112 except the control areas 131 to 134 is used.
