<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for a belt type continuously variable transmission, which can improve cooling performance of a pulley without limiting a shape of a member other than the pulley. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the cooling device for the belt type continuously variable transmission having a pair of pulleys 1 and a belt 8 wound on the pulleys 1 which transmits power. The device includes: a heat receiving part for absorbing heat of at least one sheave of sheaves 4, 5; a heat radiation part for radiating the heat absorbed in the heat receiving part at a position away from the sheaves; and a cooling means 9 composed of a fluid which transports the heat absorbed in the heat receiving part to the heat radiation part as latent heat of steam by moving the steam heated and evaporated in the heat receiving part to the heat radiation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
