<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for supporting exercise capable of automatically determining an exercise motion suitable for a playback position from among a plurality of exercise motions corresponding to the playback position of a musical piece. <P>SOLUTION: For a musical piece component "introduction", motion information corresponding to exercise information "warming-up exercise" is determined.
