<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly method of an optical component which reduces tact time. <P>SOLUTION: A first device X comprises first and second supply and discharge parts 20, 30 and a first optical axis adjustment processing part 10, and a second device Y comprises third and fourth supply and discharge parts 20', 30' and a second optical axis adjustment processing part 10'. During the process of forming a first integrated object in the first optical axis adjustment processing part 10, an optical fiber support member is removed from the supply and discharge part placed at an original standby position, a next optical fiber support member is set at the supply and discharge part placed at the original standby position, and after the first integrated object is formed, the first integrated object is removed.
