摘要 The invention relates to a QoS sensitive framework for real time information transmission in heterogenous computer networks and to a method of dynamic bandwidth allocation. The claimed framework dynamically adjusts the amount of bandwidth allocated to some trunks along a heterogenous computer network, offering to a source edge router the possibility of requiring a supplemental bandwidth and of releasing the bandwidth unused by trunks depending on the amount of necessary bandwidth, namely used by the trunks. The claimed allocation method implies the allocation of some amounts of bandwidth in order to create some end-to-end connections within a heterogenous computer network and consists in statically dividing the physical line into three main sections, where the first section is the Guaranteed Line (GL) which guarantees to each class and each trunk the minimal bandwidth, the second section is the local Common Line (l-CL) which ensures a guaranteed minimal value of bandwidths to trunks, said bandwidth being dynamically adjusted depending on the network traffic modifications and the third section is the global Common Line (g-CL) which dynamically adjusts the bandwidths shared between the autonomous domains, and the value of said section depends on SLA, Service Level Agreement, which is agreed upon at the level of some service providers (SP) and guarantees the minimal level of the bandwidth allocated for the inter-domain traffic.
