SEAL LEAKAGE AND SEAL OIL CONTAMINATION DETECTION IN GENERATOR

PURPOSE: A seal leakage and a seal oil contamination detection of a generator is provided to prevent the seal oil contamination by generating alarming indicating leakage in at least one among a plurality of static seals. CONSTITUTION: A casing(102) comprises a plurality of static seals surrounds at least a part of a rotor(104) and a large amount of a cooling gas. End part housings(120) are respectively arranged in each end part of the casing. The rotor is extended through a seal system(121). Some of the cooling gas is extended to at least one seal area(123) from the casing. A source of the cooling gas is connected to the casing to a fluid. An expectation system(130) eliminates a gas mixture(132) from the end part housing. A sensor(140) decides the purity of the cooling gas in the inside the casing. A seal leakage detector generates an alarm informing the leakage in at least one among the plurality of static seals.
