PURPOSE: A method for controlling an air conditioner is provided to control the air conditioner using a portable terminal even in the case a remote controller is lost or damaged. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an air conditioner comprises following steps. A control application installed in a portable terminal is processed. A filming unit installed in an indoor unit is operated, and the space in front of the indoor unit is filmed. The filmed space image is displayed on the portable terminal(20). A spot of the space image is touched. A wind control unit of the indoor unit is rotated to supply wind to the real space corresponding to the space image.
