<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting element with high efficiency and long life. <P>SOLUTION: An organic light-emitting body includes a host (N-type host) with high electron-transporting property, a host (P-type host) with high hole-transporting property, and a guest such as an iridium complex. The N-type host and the P-type host are disposed adjacent to each other with the guest interposed therebetween. When electrons and holes are injected to this light-emitting body, the electrons are trapped in the N-type host and the holes are trapped in the P-type host. After that, the electrons and the holes are injected to the guest to cause the guest excited. Since this process involves less thermal deactivation and a high operation rate of the guest, the light emission with high efficiency can be obtained. Moreover, since the light-emitting layer emits light substantially uniformly, the deterioration can be also suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
