<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stiffness in a vehicle body rear. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle rear body structure includes rear floor panels, rear wheel housings, and rear side extensions. A rear side extension 18 includes: a first joint 26 that is joined to a breadthway outer end of a rear floor panel; a second joint 40 that is joined to a rear end of an inner rear wheel housing; a side part 42 that is an uprising slanted part extending from the rear end of the first joint 26 to the second joint 40; a surface part 44 surrounded by the first joint 26, the second joint 40, and the side portion 42; and an extending part 48 joined to a flange of a rear pillar, wherein the side part 42 is configured to have higher stiffness or strength than at least the surface part 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
