<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio frequency-based surgical implant fixation apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The radio frequency-based surgical implant fixation apparatus 10 includes: a housing 11; and a shaft 18 operably linked with the housing 11. A longitudinal axis is defined through the shaft 18. The housing 11 is made suitable to be connected to a source of an electrosurgery energy. An approximator assembly 12 is connected coaxially with the shaft 18 and has a long and shin rod 16 configured to reciprocate from the shrinking position to the expansion position through the shaft 18.
