<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball material that has a good thermal stability, flow and processability, making it suitable for injection molding, and further is most suitable for forming high-performance golf balls having superior durability, scuff resistance and optimal hardness without a loss of repulsion performance in the molded article. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball material is composed by combining (A) an olefin-containing thermoplastic polymer selected from a specific group having an acid content of at least 0.5 wt.% but less than 5.0 wt.%, (B) a resin composition comprising a specific polybutadiene, and (C) an oxygen-containing inorganic metal compound, as essential ingredients. The resin composition is prepared by melting and mixing the (A) ingredient with the (B) ingredient, and thereafter the (C) ingredient is combined to neutralizing at least a portion of the acid group contained in the resin composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
