<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the correction accuracy of paper skew by a simple mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a staple tray 9 for temporarily stacking a sheet being carried; reference fences 13a, 13b for aligning a sheet carried onto the staple tray 9; reverse rollers 12a, 12b which are rotated in a direction of feeding a sheet to the reference fences 13a, 13b to auxiliary feed the sheet toward the reference fences 13a, 13b; first and second reverse roller shift members 29, 30 for reciprocating the reverse rollers 12a, 12b in a sheet width direction orthogonal to a sheet carrying direction; and first and second spiral grooves 29a, 30a, 29b, 30b.
