<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a color scale that can be used as a more objective criterion of assessment, for analysis of color change properties of chewing gum associated with the progression of mastication by a dentulous person and for use in evaluating mastication force with color-changing chewing gum. <P>SOLUTION: The method for creating a color scale comprises causing a plurality of dentulous persons to masticate a color-changing chewing gum, finding a regression formula between the color presented by the chewing gum after mastication and the color difference in the chewing gum before and after mastication, and also finding a regression formula between the number of mastications and the color difference in the chewing gum before and after mastication, to thereby find the number of mastications by the dentulous persons and the color difference in the color presented by the chewing gum after mastication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
