<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring control system that enables a controlling side to collect data from each machine field and to perform setting operation for each machine field at an appropriate timing even in the presence of temporal displacement between systems. <P>SOLUTION: A machine field server station having a clock that can be regularly synchronized with a time server is provided for each one of a plurality of machine fields A, B, ... X. A controlling server station having a clock that can be regularly synchronized with the time server is provided on a controlling side. Each machine field server station transmits alarm information of its machine field with time data to the controlling server station at a constant period. The controlling server station shifts processing of data transfer with the plurality of machine field server stations by a time difference when its clock cannot be synchronized with the time server.
