PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step device that requires no trap door, is arranged within the limit of a vehicle, and facilitates climbing up/down two platforms with different heights.SOLUTION: A step device 2 includes: a plurality of steps 20 which are disposed side by side in a vehicle width direction and constitute a part of a floor surface; and a drive mechanism 3 for moving up/down the steps 20 on the lateral inside between an ascent position where the plurality of steps 20 serve as a part of the floor surface and a descent position where the steps 20 constitute a staircase for getting on and off. The drive mechanism 3 is provided with a rotation link 30 which rotates about one end thereof within a vertical plane, connection links 32 which connect the rotation link 30 and the steps 20, and an actuator 7 which rotates the rotation link 30. The steps 20 move up/down via the connection links 32 when the rotation link 30 rotates. |
