<p>A label handling system (200) including a re-usable carrier (208) e.g. belt for supporting a label material by means of static generation generated between the carrier (208) and the label. In a preferred embodiment the label material is supported during laser cutting of labels. The invention also provides a product labelling system which includes a control system (100) which is operative to control the relative speed of the label and corresponding product such that the label and corresponding product have a substantially common speed throughout label application.</p> |
