PURPOSE:To suppress the bend produced in the cut face of work and to improve the efficiency and precision of cutting by forming hard layers the hardness of which is greater than that of the central part on both sides of the cross section of the cutting blade. CONSTITUTION:In a saw blade for the sawing machine which cuts a work in the hot or cold state with a saw blade turned at high speed, the hard layers 11 of quenching depth T1 and of quenching length L are provided to both sides of the base metal in the width TO of the cutting blade 3. The hard layer is obtained by setting inductors of high frequency quenching in both sides of the cutting blade. While the Shore hardness of base metal is 30-40, for example, that of hard layer is 60 or more. In this way, since the hardness of both sides of the edge 5 and wear- resistance are greater, the quantity of rounded part B1 is very little, chips can completely separated from the work to suppress the production of bend. |
